Head To Tail Protection!

The Rambo Hoody rug is our premium hoody rug designed to act as a trustworthy barrier against summer skin irritations, flies and UV rays. Made of a soft and very durable 1000D Polyester with close woven fabric so biting insects can’t get through. Top to tail maximum protection with extended belly coverage with Velcro closure and three cross surcingle’s that wrap around the body, a supersized tail flap and an integrated neck cover (non-removable) with shaped ear holes. This rug gives exceptional coverage during those warmer months, giving you peace of mind that your horse is comfortable and protected.

Incorporating our V-Front Closure with a Surefit Neck line and dual leg arches, this rug offers freedom of movement whilst the silky shoulder, mane and tail flap lining help alleviate friction. The 90% UV protection ensures your horse stays safe in the sun. It also features a tail strap for added security. Compatible with our ultra-lightweight, breathable, waterproof fly liner, an addition which enables you to extend your rug's wear beyond the hotter months, offering an extra layer when the flies are still hanging around.

  • Breathable: Allows moisture to escape keeping your horse dry and comfortable. Breathable to 3000mm.
  • Dual Leg Arches: Horseware's unique design allows for freedom of movement with a curve in the lower hem of the blanket without the addition of extra fabric or a concentrated pressure point. The blanket stays secure under belly & offers additional coverage. Includes both front & rear leg arch.
  • Surefit Neck Design: Surefit design allows the blanket to sit in front of the wither, relieving any pressure & giving the shoulders room. Designed to fit many different shaped horses, it is particularly well suited for deep shouldered, narrow horses.
  • All-In-One Neck: This blanket has an ATTACHED & NON-REMOVEABLE neck cover, offering your horse maximum protection at all times.
  • Straight Surcingles: Three adjustable surcingles for a secure fit that prevents slipping and maximum belly coverage. Surcingles placed at specific angles & heights for optimum fit.
  • V-Front Closure: Eliminates pressure on the shoulder so it doesn’t rub, allowing for more comfort while grazing. Stainless steel for longevity & durability.
  • Tail Strap/Tail String: Webbing tail straps are adjustable to offer enhanced fit.

USE

This is a SUMMER SHEET, intended to provide your horse with superior protection from the sun and flies/insects on warm days while also remaining breathable.

Turnouts, blankets & sheets serve a variety of functions. Turnouts act as a waterproof insulator layer, helping to maintain condition in cold weather. Stable blankets are not waterproof and simply provide insulation for warmth. Other sheets (fly, cooler, competition, scrim, etc.) excel at a number of other functions.

Please be aware that conditions may vary in a short time span, and always ensure your horse is comfortable under the current conditions.

CARE

We recommend having all products PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED.

If washing product yourself, please follow these recommendations.

Washing Instructions

  • Remove excess dirt, mud and hair.
  • Ensure all velcro is closed and clips/straps are attached prior to washing.
  • Machine wash at 30º C/85º F (cold) on a gentle or delicate cycle using mild soap or a blanket cleaning wash.
  • Line dry / air dry only away from a heat source.
  • Do NOT use detergents or fabric conditioners.
  • Do NOT bleach.
  • Do NOT tumble dry.
  • Do NOT Iron.

Storage Instructions

  • Once dry, fold neatly into a breathable storage bag.
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from any moisture or damp areas, avoiding excessive heat and UV exposure.
  • Your original packaging can be used as an excellent bag for multiple purposes, such as an equestrian gear bag or off-season storage.

Size & Fit

Size

Using a soft measuring tape, measure from A (the center point of the chest), across the widest point of the shoulder and to B (the center point of your horse’s rear, under the tail). Ensure your measuring tape is level and taut, which is easiest with two people. This measurement (in inches) is your horse’s "True Size."

Fit Recommendation

Our Advice: This product fits TRUE TO SIZE. You should rely on your horse's "True Size" (measured above). If between sizes we recommend sizing up.

Some products run large and others small, which is why we offer our own fit recommendation. Bear in mind that every horse is different and that your measurement is a guide only. We carry many different styles to suit all shapes and sizes.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return it within 30 days of receiving your order. All products must be returned CLEAN, in NEW condition, and with ORIGINAL packaging.

We understand the need to try an item on your horse or animal to ensure it fits. When doing so, please leave all original tags on your product until you are sure it fits. When trying on a product for fit, we encourage you to first put a clean sheet on your animal and then try the new item over the clean sheet. If a return is needed after trying an item on, please make sure the returned product is clean (which includes wiping off hair, dirt, etc.).
