This fly sheet combo does a great job of providing the horse with an effective barrier to flies and bugs while still allowing air flow. This light and airy fabric is made from a tight knit mesh and UV protective fabric that protects against sun bleach and sunburn, with the breathable fabric blocking 80% UV radiation.

Shire's ZEB-TEK "Zebra" pattern is proven to deter biting insects from landing. (Scientists' findings indicate that stripes prevent horse flies from making a controlled landing when up close. Beneficial effects for the horse were seen with fewer flies landing on a horse wearing a Zebra print rug compared to both an uncovered horse and a solid color fly sheet).

Using a soft measuring tape, measure your horse's Body Length from the center point of the chest, across the widest point of the shoulder, and to the center point of your horse’s rear, under the tail. This is a fly sheet, intended to protect your horse from flies/insects on warm days while offering UV protection and breathability.

Turnouts, blankets & sheets serve a variety of functions. Turnouts act as a waterproof insulator layer, helping to maintain condition in cold weather. Stable blankets are not waterproof and simply provide insulation for warmth. Other sheets (fly protection, coolers, competition, scrim, etc.) excel at a number of other functions.
