The Rambo® Optimo Stable Plus (200g Medium) features innovative Split Technology, which allows the blanket to pivot at the shoulder gusset, up and down and left to right. It lets the horse enjoy complete freedom of movement and prevents uncomfortable shifting.

Featuring padding on the wither to lift the blanket to prevent mane or wither rubs and adjustable innovative bib front closure to prevent rubbing on the underside of the neck and chest.

The breathable fabric ensures optimal airflow and 200 grams of fiberfill helps to regulate your horses body temperature, keeping them warm and dry. A detachable neck cover offers added versatility and warmth and can be easily removed if desired.

The blanket is designed with three straight surcingles, ensuring a secure fit. Its adjustable front closure allows for a customized fit across the chest, enhancing both security and comfort. Additionally, the stable blanket features a tail flap for extra coverage. The inclusion of a wipe-clean tail cord simplifies cleaning and maintenance, making this both practical and convenient for horse owners.

This rug is compatible with Horseware's Optimo Liners, allowing you to easily add additional layers for extra warmth if needed; liners sold separately.

Rambo Optimos run quite a bit larger than a standard sheet, as they are built for larger horses. We generally recommend sizing down 1 size (3 inches) unless your horse has a very large build. We have many customers who still love the fit and design of the Optimo even when sizing down.

Sizing

Using a soft measuring tape, measure from A (the center point of the chest), across the widest point of the shoulder and to B (the center point of your horse’s rear, under the tail). Ensure your measuring tape is level and taut, which is easiest with 2 people. The number of inches is your horse’s true size. To learn more about properly sizing your horse click here.

Weight & Function

This is a medium weight stable blanket, intended to keep your horse warm as winter temperatures set in. Stable sheets and blankets are NOT waterproof and are intended to be used in stables/shelters (as opposed to turnouts, which protect horses from the elements outdoors).

Turnouts, blankets & sheets serve a variety of functions. Turnouts act as a waterproof insulator layer, helping to maintain condition in cold weather. Stable blankets are not waterproof and simply provide insulation for warmth. Other sheets (cooler, competition, scrim, etc.) excel at a number of other functions. Please be aware that conditions may vary in a short time span, and always ensure your horse is comfortable under the current conditions.
