How to Fit your Horse Blanket
The fit of your horse blanket is extremely important to ensure the comfort of your horse and to prevent rubbing and blanket slippage. As horses of the same height at the wither come in variety of shapes and sizes, it is useful to take certain measurements of your horse.
- Using a soft measuring tape, measure from (A) at the center point of the chest, across the point of the shoulder and to the point (B) at the center of the tail.
- When you have the measurement, remove 4 inches (10 cm) and choose your horse’s size from the table below. Bear in mind that every horse is different and that this table is a guide only. We have many different styles to suit all shapes and sizes.

Horse Blanket Size by Horse Height
Perhaps the most common question our customer service reps are asked is what size blanket to buy for a particular height horse. Measuring is absolutely critical since horses' shapes vary so greatly. The length of back, width of shoulders, size of the hindquarters can all greatly influence the blanket size a horse needs. Below are the most common blanket sizes we sell for the following horse heights. However, to reiterate, this is a very general guide so please measure (twice) to get the best blanket size for your horse.

12.0h: 57" - 60"
13.0h: 60" - 63"
14.0h: 66" - 69"
15.0h: 69" - 75"
